This seems like a silly question, but are the Water Leak sensors compatible with the new M200 Hub? I just purchased some Aqara products to set up our daughter new place and thought I’d try the M200 hub. I had no problem connecting the LED Bulb T2 as well as the Temperature and Humidity Sensor, but when I tried the 3 Water Leak Sensors I had no luck. Tried new batteries and still no luck.
I did notice that the M200 is not listed as an acceptable hub on Amazon, but I am guessing that is due to it being new.
I have been using Aqara products for many years and have close to a dozen Water Leak Sensors in my setup, just to let you know that Im not new to this.
(NOTE: Not support hubs from other brands.) Requires a secured 2.4 gigahertz Wi-Fi network connection for Hub M2/ M1S/ E1/M1S Gen2 and Camera Hub G2H Pro/ G2H, and 2.4/ 5 GHz Wi-Fi for Camera Hub G3. (Not Support Wi-Fi 6. Wired connection via Ethernet RJ45 for Hub M2 is also supported). Additionally, please connect the Aqara Water Leak Sensor to Aqara hub before connecting to Apple HomeKit or enabling skills in Google Home and Alexa.
Hello, have you tried connecting two sensor options (regular and T1)? Another question, is the leak sensor in European packaging or for the Chinese market?
Yes, I have the M200 and four Water Sensors and they connected fine. Only issue I had was how long to press the top of the sensor when pairing to the hub. It says wait for 3 flashes of the light but it just keeps flashing. So I just kept holding the top down. I think I was just resetting them by holding too long. I held the sensor right next to the hub, pressed the top and let go as soon as it flashed 3 times. Then it paired.
Just tried adding one to my home network that uses an M3 and had no problem. Going back tomorrow to try on the M200 again. If I still have no luck I may just return at least the M200 but I’m not interested in any of the other hubs for her place.
Well, thanks everyone for your help. Not sure what the issue was but I finally had the chance to try them again on my daughter’s m200 and they connected without any problems.
I originally thought it was operator error, and it probably was, but the m200 not being listed made me second guess myself.
