I would like to get the Aqara hub S1 plus. But the ptoblem is that my wall junction box is very close to my door frame. And sadly that is why i can’t install one. Why didn’t they make one where it was possible to turn the display 180 degrees on the switch base or a aqara hub s1 plus with the switch base on the left.
We’ve been asking for this here
Yes, but it’s not available yet… I also doubt it will come
I keep my fingers crossed. It should be easy to implent.
Aqara does not add features to already released products.
Well that’s not correct- many updates and features came already with firmware updates.
But of course not all updates customers like or want are that easy to fulfill with existing devices. Sometimes it’s easier to develop a new similar device
I’ve never had a new feature across all my devices in all years of owning them. It’s been bug fixes only. Happy to be corrected, I’ve actually asked around and apart from automations 2.0 I couldn’t think of an example.
New features get introduced with new devices.
What about FP2, s1 panel pro and u200?
So I never bought those, I was interested in FP2 so I followed FP2 development on here, Reddit and Facebook. It was months of bug fixes before people reported it even working. This forum is full of people saying S1 plus never got new cards for new devices. I would buy it myself as there was a space left in my home for it, but it would be upside down. You might be correct about U200, I haven’t followed it.
If what you say is correct, it would be good if Aqara announced new features in the release notes for new device firmware. There seems to be a problem with my Aqara app because it always just says
- Optimized device-related functions.
- Fixed known issues;
So FP2 got the sleeping monitor feature
The S1 panel pro got some new themes for Chinese new year
And the U200 got the improvements for the latch
So now we can discuss if these are just firmware updates with solving bugs / improvements/ new features or unnecessary extras ![]()
For me at all , Aqara is a brand with lots of innovation and interesting smart home devices ![]()
