I don’t have the Aqara hub, but previously I was able to pair the U200 to Google Home using Matter. I have Home Assistant with Thread router and I’m able to add other Matter enabled devices.
Reading the manual, I scan the QR code then proceed with the Google Home instructions, then I press on the SET button and the U200 lock is making a beeping sound and the LED flashes red. The google home app is not able to find the device at all.
Home Assistant, Google Home and the Aqara App are independent ecosystems when it comes to Matter. You can add your devices to multiple ecosystems, but you’ll need a separate Matter controller for each one (e.g. the Matter Server addon for Home Assistant, a Nest Hub for Google Home or an Aqara Hub for the Aqara App).
I have a Matter server running on home assistant. All I know is that I’m able to add devices using Matter QR code via Google Home app, and then share the devices to home assistant.
When I try to do the same with the U200, it doesn’t find it. The strange thing is that I was able to add in the past.
Today I had multiple power failure which caused my Asus router to reset its’ settings… this caused a snowball effect on all my smart home devices.
So I removed the Matter devices, I uninstalled the Matter server and Thread router, and reinstalled them to home assistant and re-added some of the devices without an issue.
The only thing left is the U200 and my vaccum robot.
I think you can also find the Matter pairing code in the Aqara app, in U200 settings (U200 > three dots > connect to other ecosystems), have you tried using this Matter code?
yes, it’s in pairing mode.
I do it via Google Home.
What I see is that in HA I have a different Thread network name than what Google Home sees. Why is that?
Looks like you have two Thread Border Routers that are creating separate networks. It should be possible to set it up in a way so both are part of the same network:
