This one is tricky and can’t be done with Aqara and Apple Home alone, because Apple doesn’t allow the Apple TV as an automation trigger, only an action. You can do this with Home Assistant or Homebridge though. Do you use either of those tools?

As coletti.robert already mentioned, this isn’t possible directly through the Aqara Home app or the Apple Home app.

I wanted to achieve the exact same thing, turning on the lights in my display cabinet when the Apple TV switches on, so I looked into this extensively.

There is a workaround using the Shortcuts app where you can set the detection of a Bluetooth connection with your TV as a trigger to start a scene or control Apple Home devices. This can work well if your TV connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth independently of the Apple TV and establishes the connection automatically. However, this doesn’t work with every TV.

A more reliable solution is using Home Assistant. As it happens, I created a post with instructions and a video about this. Take a look specifically at Point 3. Link at the very bottom.

Avec l’application Raccourcis, il est possible d’utiliser la détection d’une connexion Bluetooth avec le téléviseur comme déclencheur pour lancer une scène ou contrôler des appareils Apple Home. Cela peut bien fonctionner si le téléviseur peut se connecter à ton smartphone par Bluetooth indépendamment de l’Apple TV et s’il établit la connexion automatiquement. Mais cela ne fonctionne pas avec tous les téléviseurs.
