D200i Door Lock Facial Recognition Won’t Auto-Activate at Door

Hey everyone,

I’ve got a D200i smart door lock with facial recognition. Normally, it should detect my face and auto-unlock as I approach the door, until a week ago, it’s not triggering at all unless I manually activate it via touching the code / number pad.

So far, facial identification in app settings:

  • Trigger Method - Automatic Recognition, have tried to change it to manual and back to auto, but to no avail
  • Sensitivity - Set to High. Tried medium and low and nothing happens.
  • Dormant Duration - Set at 0s, tried other values as well but nothing.
  • Updated the firmware to the latest version.
  • Cleaned the camera and sensors.
  • Tried re-registering my face.

Still no luck — it’s like it doesn’t even register that I’m standing there until I manually wake it.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check if the door lock is bound to a hub.
  2. Put the hub closer to the door lock and then try again.
  3. Update the app version to the latest.

These steps may help resolve the issue with the face recognition not triggering automatically for your D200i smart door lock.

The door lock is bound to my aqara M3, I’ve tried restarting the M3 as well. The M3’s location is close to the door lock and was never moved… have also checked that everything is on their latest firmware and also app is updated to latest on app store.

Still no luck unfortunately.
