Dear Aqara Support Team,
I would like to report a clear functional issue with the Aqara H2 EU (2 Buttons, 1 Channel) when used together with Aqara Ceiling Light (T1M) and MARS technology.
The actual problem
Even when Decoupled Mode (Detached Mode) is enabled, my H2 EU switch still cuts the power (L output) whenever I perform a double press on the upper button.
This should be impossible.
In decoupled mode:
• the relay must stay constantly ON
• the switch must behave like a wireless button only
• smart lamps (like the T1M) must never lose power
Instead, the H2 behaves inconsistently and sometimes acts as a real physical switch even though decoupled mode is active.
This causes the T1M Ceiling Light to lose power completely, which obviously defeats the whole purpose of MARS and smart-lamp setups.
Why this is a bigger issue
This problem is identical to what another user (Dragos) reported on Reddit: Wired switches in decoupled mode do not support proper multi-press handling (single, double, long press), and the firmware seems to partially ignore decoupled mode in certain situations.
For anyone using Aqara smart lights, this is a critical limitation.
The wireless H1 switch supports:
• single press
• double press
• long press
…but the wired H-series does not, even in decoupled mode where it technically should behave exactly like a wireless button.
What is needed
1. A fix so that decoupled mode on H2 EU truly disables the physical relay completely, for all press types.
2. Full multi-press logic on wired switches in decoupled mode (just like your wireless switches).
3. Clear documentation on how MARS + decoupled mode should work with Aqara smart lights.
Right now, the behavior is inconsistent and not aligned with how the Aqara ecosystem is designed.
My setup
• Aqara H2 EU (2 Buttons, 1 Channel)
• Aqara Ceiling Light T1M
• MARS Technology enabled
• Decoupled Mode enabled on the upper button
• Hub: Aqara Hub M3 (firmware up to date)
The issue is repeatable every time.
I can provide video proof if needed.
Thank you for reviewing this.
Please let me know if you need logs, device IDs or additional details.
Kind regards,
