Discover How the Multi-State Sensor P100 Is Used by the Forum

I’m not sure what you mean. Do you mean that it is not possible to replace the battery without needing new sticky pads?

It’s a pity that we have to design this way because of the requirements of safety regulations (the battery cover can’t be removed directly by rotating). If you want not to destroy the adhesive, you can try to blow it with a hair dryer and then remove it carefully.

Hello, I want to explain in addition.
This is a security device.
We simulate the situation. The attacker simply scrolls the sensor (analogous to a temperature sensor) and the battery falls out, the device stops giving information about its state (movement, tilt, crackle …)

Thank you very much for the reply.
Please let me clarify that I would not call the experience unpleasant, but definitely different, for example, than the one I had with the P2 door/window sensors (I have at least 4 of them in different places).

I tried the P100 in thread mode as a window sensor, placed at the bottom of a tilt window, like the one below:

When testing the open/close trigger (even after recalibrating the sensor multiple times), I would see it sometimes remain in the same status. i.e., sometimes I opened the window, and it would remain “closed” in the app, and vice versa.
I am continuing to test, and maybe it is a matter of sensitivity as you mentioned, but in my case, one of my concerns would also be limiting as much as possible any false positives or incorrect statuses, because I use these sensors as part of a bigger ecosystem for home security.

I hope this helps. Thanks again for the opportunity.

What automation have you got with the P100 and the door lock?

In the end, I hung it on the window; there is no need for it on the door, since there is a smart lock and a security alarm sensor Somfy.

P100 as a Garage Door Sensor… I’ve been looking for a garage door sensor to integrate with Home Assistant / Alarmo and believe this is the perfect solution.

Nothing too exciting but it’s easy set up, accurate once calibrated, and has a small form factor when compared to my Honeywell Sensor and MyQ sensor… I’ll definitely be getting at least two more.

(Can’t post any pics I took but it works great)
