Do I need the G410 doorbell if ihave the M3 hub, or save £40 and get the G4 doorbell?

If you have the M3 than the G410 is not required as you have an existing hub. I would add that the G410 has some improvements over the G4 (which is still excellent) such as the built in hub which allows you to share the load between them.

@srrae I’d say that @Aqara_PM_Donie put it perfectly. To be honest if I were choosing between G4 and G410 today I would get the G410 not only for the new features but to future proof it.
