My old network was 192.168.0.xxx. I’m forced by new ISP to use 192.168.1.xxx. Trying to reset network settings on both devices fails with cannot bind to account. So after doing factory reset (after removing from Aqara app and apple home app) they still won’t bind.

Hi there.normally when you change the router or ISP company you just need to rename the new network same as the old one and use same password.now that you have reset the devices follow this steps :
Clear iOS Stale Matter Credentials
-Verification: Open Settings > General >
Matter Accessories again and verify the device is no longer listed.
-Restart Mobile Device and
Network Hardware
2 minutes
Stale mDNS (Bonjour) cache on your phone or router often routes discovery requests to the old 192.168.0.x address space.
Verification: Reconnect your smartphone to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and verify it has acquired a valid 192.168.1.x IP address in your Wi-Fi settings.
Perform Full Hardware Reset on Agara
Hub/Device
Clear local token
Verification: The indicator light should continuously pulse yellow/amber, indicating it is in binding mode.
I did say that I couldn’t do as you suggested above because the IP address domain was changed by force. So even though I DID keep the wifi name and password the same, the ip addresses were wrong. (Old = 192.168.0.xxx / New = 192.168.1.xxx)
However, I wasn’t aware of the matter cache on my iPad. So I’ve delete those and will try again. Thanks for that tip.
No matter what is the IP your router once connect an device it gives automatically the IP more when you reset it try resetting it by pressing 10 times in a row this will factory reset the G5 so that old ip you had will not matter anymore
They are not hard something you do wrong because on August I changed my ISP too and they added an new router with an new IP and I had no issue with my smart devices all were connected automatically once I added the same name and password on my router.did you connected your phone to the 2.4Ghz band?also did you factory reset it by pressing 10 times the power button?
I didn’t say that I got lucky I say that something is with your new internet connection witch doesn’t let you connect devices.my be give more details :
Did you proper setup your router?
Did you check that if they are properly removed from the matter accessories ?
What kind of internet router did you receive from your provider?
It may be possible to configure the IP address for the home network and thus rule this out as the cause.
That error message sounds a bit like an account issue. I’d suggest trying to log out of the Aqara Home app and then log back in. Maybe some tokens have expired in the background. Do you have an internet connection? Did you have the “Anti-Theft Lock” option enabled in the settings? And are you using the same Aqara account as before? You haven’t changed the region settings in the Aqara app, have you?
