FP400 vs. FP2 side-by-side testing

Link to full report: https://claude.ai/code/artifact/b249d8d2-db6e-43f5-a432-afd1fda4e209 Ran my FP400 side-by-side with my existing FP2 for 6.8 days — same room, same wall, mounted at the same height about 4 feet apart, both facing the same seating area. Full write-up with charts is attached. One thing worth calling out before the numbers: this comparison is stacked AGAINST the FP400. My FP2 has a fully mapped room layout, exclusion zones set, and AI spatial learning completed. The FP400 …

Two weeks with the FP400: a badly placed speaker, faster lights, and a cat on the room map

I’ve been testing the FP400 as part of Aqara’s trial programme for the past two weeks. It’s now replaced the FP2 in our living room, which I wasn’t necessarily expecting. I was already happy with the FP2. The first thing I noticed was how quickly the light comes on. Once I’d sorted out the placement, the sofa light was on by the time I was through the doorway. Scope of Delivery: In addition to …

My Experience With the FP400

Like I’m sure a lot of people here, I love presence sensors. They’re one of my must have products in a smart home. So naturally, I was very excited when the FP400 was announced and got my hands on one as soon as I possibly could. Safe to say, I was not disappointed! For my setup, I replaced an old FP1 that had been running my bedroom automations for a long time and definitely needed an upgrade. [FullSizeRender] Setup If you’re familiar with the FP2, you’ll be aware of the physical se…
