So I’ve now set up 3 FP300s across the house (bedroom, home theater, and kitchen), all of which on thread mode. The former two are working as expected, but in the kitchen, it will sometimes stay stuck in detected for over an hour. There’s not much source for interference from the location/position I’ve set it up at, at least from what I can tell. Now I know I can get far more confirmation options in zigbee mode, but is there any method of spacial learning while keeping thread mode (my thread network seems more stable and responsive than zigbee). I could switch over if need be, but I would like to avoid that if possible.
@BigMacCombo You seem to be experiencing an issue where the FP300 in the kitchen stays stuck in presence detected for over an hour while in Thread mode. Hi, @BigMacCombo
Sorry for your experience…. But I also had some curious problems with thread - so changed to zigbee! And most things are really better for me with zigbee!
Also the battery and AI spatial learning! Just give it a try! I’m sure you won’t be disappointed
I have to agree with @DEChrisE here. Zigbee gives more options and AI Spatial Learning. This solves most detection problems and it’s a little quicker on response times.
Agree with other, please try the Zigbee mode and confirm that it’s working correct with that.
Since posting, I do believe it has been gradually getting a bit better, so I’ll give it a bit more time, but I will try Zigbee mode if I’m still not totally satisfied.
