- Chime-Hub behavior & placement: The G410 includes a 95 dB chime-hub with custom ringtones and even pre-recorded voice messages, and it’s USB‑C powered (so you can place it flexibly and even pair it with a mini UPS for backup).
- Video coverage expectations: It’s 2K with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 175° wide-angle lens, plus f/1.8 for better low-light clarity—helpful to discuss real-world porch coverage and night performance based on mounting height/angle.
- Power options & real battery life: It supports battery power (six AA) or hardwiring, and Aqara mentions up to ~5 months battery life with radar detection tech—would be great to hear what battery life folks are actually seeing with different motion settings and traffic levels.
- Keeping the original indoor chime: If anyone wants the existing “original bell” to ring when pressing the G4/G410, there’s a community how-to here (worth adding your wiring setups/results in this thread too).
