I made it so if I lower the movie canvas- the sensor aligns and the automation dims all the lights to 15% and turns the Beamer on. I Love how it works so flawlessly!
Genius!
“The sky is the limit” they say, right?
Great! Thanks for sharing @j_boenisch
I also love such small ideas with a great result ![]()
That’s a great imagination. ))
That’s actually really smart though!
It’s really nice, can I be a copy cat?
Nice, super cool!
Okay, that is awesome! Very well done!
Such a great idea. How do you get it to switch on the projector though?
That’s a really amazing way to execute an automation that makes everything enjoyable.
Thanks for sharing such a great idea! If you don’t mind, I’d love to use this idea in my own home ![]()
Haha, thats really inventive. I would have tried to complicate things by monitoring the power at the screen or something, trying to turn a dumb screen smart… this does it so much more elegantly. Good on ya.
Just came across this automation. This is just brilliant! Great use case!
Great idea bro!
May I ask what product you use to up/down the canvas?
And Is there such a product that works with HomeKit?
Thx in advance!
Great idea
Nice.
Hi, how do I remotely turn on a projector? I have a several-year-old Epson that doesn’t integrate with HomeKit or other home automation platforms. I’m not sure how to turn it on—maybe using the original infrared remote? Does anyone know?
it depends on your projector. Does it have buttons? Then you can use something like a switchbot bot. If it uses RF or IR then you can use some type of programmable transmitter… the problem being is in both cases it is stateless. You can only assume the action has been taken.
Extremely creative
