We urgently need affordable Indoor roller shade with a smart tubular motor installed for indoor use.

Two fabric options: translucent and fully blackout.

Offer a maximum of three fabric colors and only make fixed sizes that cover the corresponding market well (e.g., EU) so production costs are better callculated.

All of this with Zigbee and Thread, like the rest of your product range.

Thanks to the partnership with A-OK, there should be sufficient experience. You could also offer just the motors as an additional product line.

In my opinion, there is an urgent need for an alternative to the discontinued IKEA Smart Roller Blinds.

The market for high-priced smart roller blinds is already served by other companies like Smartwings and Eve.

Build a reliable, high-quality product at similar prices to what IKEA roller blinds were back then, and people will flock to your store!

Completed the survey - but wanted to point out that Roman Shades are missing as an option.

For the question “What type of roller shades or blinds do you have at home?” this REALLY needs to be checkboxes and not radio buttons. I know i have more than just one type.

Have none want some … not in canada you say? Pity !!!

Finally- I want that gurtwickler :stuck_out_tongue:

Just want to echo the point that you only allow for selecting one option, whereas my home uses at least 3 of the types you list (and some that you don’t list).

I have filled the form out as best I can, however @AqaraOfficial the farm should be updated because I have multiple versions of different blinds and you only allow a selection for one of the blinds. I manual operated beaded roller blinds that I have already attached an E1 driver to, but I also have a Venetian blind that has the two pull cards and a swivel pole for operation. In the UK, we could definitely use roller shades, particularly black blackout ones, and also Venetian blinds are popular too. Another common blind is the vertical blind. All three would be extremely welcome in the UK and would probably sell very fast as Aqara is known for making good quality products at a reasonable price.

I have been using the Eve motion blinds for years. They are amazing but they are a couple of things that could and should be better:

  • The antennae should be integrated and not two weird thin cables popping out.
  • I would love zigbee AND matter like all aquaria products so that I can choose
  • I would love to have a simple cache for the whole side provided. Right now you get to see a stupid black hole when you look at them, this is plain stupid.
I bought usb-c caches in white but it does not make this side of the engine good looking. I do not understand how their guys did not see that, such a minor thing that would make it all look so much better. A cache for the whole facade that you can just plug in the usb-c port when it. s not used, which is 99% of the time.

otherwise, they’re silent and efficient.

I agree here I loved the ikea blinds and have 4 of them, they just worked simple and truefully.

On another note though I have a couple of products from another brand for a bead string roller blind and a venetian, these came with solar panels that are small enough not to be a eyesore, but mean the batteries of these products never ever need charging.

I’ve answered the poll but the selection for Venetian blind with cord/chain should have been 2 separate options because all mine are cord and the Aqara drivers aren’t able to fit cord, just chain.
By separating these options you’d have had a better idea of how many people, like me, are waiting for a cord version of the driver.

I am happy with my matter over thread blind motors made by Arpobot. I would not want zigbee or have to use a hub. They are connected to Apple Homekit and Samsung SmartThings. Aqara should just buy the Company and put an Aqara label on them!

Perhaps that new product you’re hoping for will actually happen. :grinning:

I would mention that blond speed not so essential. I would prioritize noise levels over blind speed as they typically open before I wake but noise risks waking me up.
