This summer, football fever is reaching its peak! :soccer: Whether you are cheering for the underdogs or the traditional heavyweights, we know that watching the beautiful game is always better with a little smart home magic. Now, we want to see yours! :star_struck:

How to Participate

Create a new post in the Forum using the hashtag FootballFever. You can choose to complete Option 1, Option 2, or both!

Option 1: Share Your “Game Day Automation”

Show us your smart home setup for match day! Photos, videos, and Aqara Home app screenshots are always a huge plus!

Need some inspiration?

  • Kick-off Alarm: Lights fade in and the Hub announces the game 5 mins before kick-off.
  • Cinema Mode: One click on your wireless mini switch to close the curtains, dim the lights, and turn on the TV.
  • Team Colors: Set your Aqara LED Strips or Bulbs to your favorite team’s colors!

Winners will be announced on July 21st. Engagement (likes and comments) will be a factor in selecting the winners. If the prize is not available for sale in your region, it will be replaced with an equivalent Aqara product that is available.

Time matters! Your prediction is ONLY valid if posted BEFORE the respective match kicks off. Posts created or edited after the match has started will be disqualified from the points reward.

FootballFever - My Aqara “Stadium Mode” Match Day Setup :soccer::stadium:

For match day, I wanted my smart home to feel less like a living room and more like a mini stadium. So I built an Aqara automation flow that changes the atmosphere from pre-match build-up all the way to the final whistle.

Automation: Aqara Stadium Mode

1. Pre-Match Build-Up - 10 minutes before kickoff
My Aqara Hub announces: “Kick-off is coming - time to get ready!”
The living room lights fade in gradually, so the room feels like the stadium lights are warming up.

2. Kick-off Mode
With one press of my wireless switch, the curtains close, the TV area becomes the focus, and the LED strip changes to my team colors. The main lights dim automatically so the room feels like a proper football night setup.

3. Goal Celebration Button
When my team scores, I press the switch again and the LED strip flashes in team colors for a short celebration scene. It is my own mini goal celebration at home.

4. VAR / Nervous Moment Mode
For tense moments, I trigger a dramatic amber/red lighting scene. It makes penalties, VAR checks, and last-minute attacks feel even more intense.

5. Half-Time Snack Mode
At half-time, the kitchen light turns on automatically and the hub reminds us: “Half-time break - snack refill!” If the fridge or snack drawer is opened, the setup knows the mission has started.

6. Full-Time Reset
After the match, the room goes back to normal: lights return to warm white, curtains open, and the hub announces: “Full-time. Great match!”

This setup makes watching football much more immersive, and it is exactly the kind of small smart-home magic that makes match day feel special.

My prediction: Brazil to beat Norway. :brazil::soccer:

This contest motivated me to spend some more time on this so I just added a huge update and now also include my beloved M3 into the mix.
