Smart Lock U200 – impossible to bind (Hub M3 / HomeKit) after full reset and fresh setup

Hi everyone,

I’m stuck with a blocking issue on the Aqara Smart Lock U200 and looking to confirm whether this is a known problem.

I cannot bind the U200 to Aqara Hub M3 nor to Apple HomeKit. I’ve already:
• Replaced both the U200 and the M3
• Started from a completely fresh setup (new Aqara Home, no legacy Matter/Thread devices)
• Removed all Matter history from iOS
• Tested on iOS and Android
• Performed multiple factory resets
• Confirmed latest firmware on both the lock and the hub
• Tried all community and online workarounds I could find

Same result every time: binding fails and the lock is unusable.

I’d like to know:
• Is this a known issue with U200 / M3 / Matter?
• Is there any advanced reset, firmware fix, or escalation path that actually works?

Another question, did you delete the Tried network in the M3 gateway and create a new one? It helped me.
