Soft Sensor broke FP2?

I just tried out the new Soft Sensor feature - amazing idea.
Selected an FP2, G3 camera and window contact sensor for the living room.
Immediately the soft sensor wasn’t showing reliable presence so I looked at the FP2 and it’s in continual reboot mode. It gets connected to the network for about 10sec, just enough to detect a brief period of presence and then reboots/flashes blue.
First I removed the soft sensor to see if that would affect anything, nope.
Tried unplugging several times, up to 30min. Tried a different power plug. Tried factory reset, but now I can’t set it up because it just continually reboots after starting the pairing process.
This sensor has been extremely reliable for years until now.

That’s definitely a bad experience! Can you contact the support? Or @jack_aqara help? Hmm :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I’m experiencing the same issues. What was the fix as the bot below implies it was resolved?

So I had contacted support through Aqara’s support page as well but it was limited in characters, so I didn’t get to report everything I tried already.
They emailed me back saying to try a factory reset, which I had already tried. So still waiting on further.
This issue has not been resolved as the bot states…

inaccurate. not addressed yet…

This is a bug and requires waiting for the firmware update for FP2

I start to using soft sensor and I am happy. This is very good effort for us, using Aqara home app locally and independently probkemathic others like HA. I recommend please try it first, your problem was nor related with this new soft sensor

I’m experiencing the same thing. I’ve had my fp2 for years and after testing the new soft sensor feature a few days ago it’s been stuck rebooting for over two days now. Even after deleting the soft sensor group and power cycling to device the issue persists.

Sounds like it may be more of a firmware crash loop than the Soft Sensor itself, especially since the FP2 is now rebooting even after reset and different power sources.

I’d try leaving it unplugged for a few hours, then doing a fresh setup without linking Soft Sensor or other automations first. If it still loops, it might need a full re-flash or support ticket, since constant reboot after pairing usually points to firmware corruption or hardware fault.

Yeah I left it for 48hrs and it was still rebooting.
I removed the soft sensor first thing.
I did a hard reset and it blinked yellow for pairing etc, all normal until it gets to the network pairing and it connects for 10sec then reboots, and goes back to reboot loop.
I’ve contacted Aqara. They first said wait for a firmware update, but I queried them on how could I do a firmware update if it keeps rebooting and won’t stay connected. They said wait out.
