How to Set the max. Time for Messages regarding waiting people in sight of doorbellcamera?

I’m not sure exactly what you want to set up, but I can give you a few quick tips.

In the G410 settings, you have the following options:

Detection Settings → AI Detection → Lingerer Detection

  • Duration of Stay Here you can set how long the system waits before triggering a video recording and/or notification. 0 seconds means that a reaction occurs immediately upon detecting a person. If you set a different value, the system will wait for the specified amount of time before reacting.
  • Detection Rang If you’re receiving too many notifications—for example, because your neighbor across the hall is unlocking their door—I would set a lower value here so that you only receive notifications when someone is directly in front of your door.
  • Detection Periode Set the time range during which you want to receive recordings and notifications about people loitering. If you always leave the house between 6 and 7 a.m., you could exclude that time range here.
  • Detection Time Interval Here you can set how long it should take for the camera to react again after a detection. If you set a value here, a new notification will be sent once that time has elapsed. However, if you set the value too high, it’s possible that multiple people walking through the camera’s field of view won’t be detected because the time until the next detection hasn’t elapsed yet. So, if you have more people lingering in front of the door for longer periods of time, you should probably set a higher value here; and if you have more people walking past the camera one after another and you want a recording or notification for each person, you should opt for a very low value.
  • Proximity Trigger specifically controls which movements cause the camera to react and trigger a notification. When activated, the radar exclusively detects people approaching the camera head-on, completely filtering out any lateral movements. This setting is ideal if the path leads directly to your door, as it reliably prevents people simply walking past the entrance from triggering unwanted notifications. However, if the approach to your entrance is from the side, leaving this function enabled will often cause actual visitors to be ignored and recordings to be missed. In this case, you should disable the option.

Detection Settings → Notifications

  • Here you can turn notifications on and off
  • Under Notification Preferences → Notification Schedule, you can also set a time period during which all enabled notifications should be sent.
  • If you’ve subscribed to the HomeGuardian service, you can also enable the AI Video Summary Notifications or Smart Notification Filtering options under Notification Type and Notification Preferences

Hey one question here: if I deactivate how will the camera detect movements? I have it on batteries at the moment

Take a look at this post. It’s explained in a bit more detail there.

If it’s not clear, feel free to ask again.

I noticed one of my g410 doorbells was triggering off nothing quite often . Ultimately solved by replacing. There was really no rhyme or reason. But swapping it resolved it.
