Switch on Carport Lights with P1

Greetings,

I use a P1 in combination with a Aqara smart plug to switch on the carport lights and witch them off again, if no movement is detected for longer than 1min.

My solution currently are two automations:

  1. P1 - if movement is detected switch the smart plug on
  2. P1 - if no movement is detected for longer than 1 min switch the smart plug off

It works but I was wondering if this is the best solution or if the community would suggest a different approach - like using the delay functionality in the automations - or if I should add another automation which notifies, if the smart plug is switched on for longer than 5min to avoid that the lights are burning for too long.
