I am currently using several Matter-enabled smart devices, including bulbs and plugs. While basic control generally works, I’ve noticed limitations in feature availability across different platforms.

For instance, I have a TP-Link Tapo P110M smart plug that functions correctly through Matter. However, the Aqara app does not display its electricity consumption data, even though this information is available within the TP-Link Tapo application. This suggests that while Matter enables basic interoperability, advanced features might not be universally accessible across all Matter-compatible systems.

I connected devices from Ikea via the Dirigera bridge: leak sensor, air purifier, two types of wireless buttons

I’m pretty sad because Aqara doesn’t support switches exported as switches. I don’t know the reason of this limitation.

In Brazil we have this 4x4 wall boxes and there’s few compatible models, so I brought it from Zemismart but I can’t use it at Aqara app, since it’s exported as a switch, not a socket or light itself.

Actually, we already support the electricity consumption feature. I’m not sure if TP-Link implement this functionality according to the Matter standard specification or its custom spec. Have you checked by adding it into Home Assistant to see if there’s power consumption data? We will also use this device to test and identify the specific cause. Thank you very much for the information. :+1:

Cool! Looking forward to more devices! :100: :100: :100:

:+1: :+1: :+1:So many device types!

Sorry for the inconvenience. This is because support for the Switch device type was only introduced in Matter 1.4 Spec. We will also add support for the Switch device type in our second-phase update—stay tuned!

The experience of using third-party Matter devices in Aqara Home can be summarized as gradually improving compatibility and enhanced operational convenience, though attention still needs to be paid to ecological adaptation details.

Does the Chinese mainland version of M3 Hub & M00 Hub provide firmware that supports 50+Matter devices? If so, what is the version number?

My M100 is from China and got the update and now I’m able to use vacuum robots with it.

I’m using 4.3.5_0031.0017

When using 3rd party bulbs are you able to use them with the effects such as flashing or do the effects only work with Aqara bulbs ?

The Chinese version has a Matter whitelist and only supports a small number of devices. You can test other Matter categories and find that they are not accessible.
