How are people finding HA with aqara?
I’m using it bringing some devices in via my M3 and some newer devices through matter. I find my connection to be reliable and haven’t had issues creating automations. Triggering automations using Aqara sensors to devices from other brands such as the Apollo Automation M1 wled panel happen instantly.
I‘m new in using HA … just a beginner there ! Main reason is to control my solar battery more smarter
I’ve been using it for a couple of years but I still consider myself a beginner.
Haha , got ya! So I just heard about HA ![]()
I use it extensively, but then I have everything going directly into HA and not through an Aqara hub. The G400 doorbell might have to be an exception though unless I can figure out a way to get more controls into HA natively.
I’m mainly using zigbee devices. I find the aqara behaves well in general. I love the way HA can deal with so many different brands so that things you already have don’t become obsolete.
I don;t use an aqara hub either. Just a zigbee adaptor.
I think it works well with Matter devices, it lacks some features though, I think limited by current Matter capabilities
I use Home Assistant exclusively. Aqara devices work really well with it. The main limitation is that some devices offer less functionality when you integrate them via Matter
I use Home Assistant (OS) with a Sonoff dongle, exclusively with Zigbee 3.0 (I don’t use Matter because there are fewer features available on the devices
).
I have the following Aqara devices: 10 door/window sensors, a thermostat, and 2 smoke detectors, and everything works perfectly
.
I have been using Home assistant and Aqara for years now. always worked great with my Zigbee dongle and since a short while been using ChatGPT to write automations for me. so still a beginner with code but feeling pro ![]()
