Who's excited for the new FP300 Presence Multi-Sensor?!

Dual PIR and mmWave sensing… yes please! We all know motion sensors have their limitations and aren’t for all spaces. I have high hopes that THIS is the answer for all those spaces where motion sensors get annoying - basically when the lights turn off while you are still in a room sitting still, or working on a car in the garage and you haven’t moved enough in a while. I plan to use this in my kid’s study room, where they ALWAYS leave the lights on when they leave… but I can’t use a motion sensors because the lights turn off too often while they are actually in there studying. Can’t wait!

+1, It definitely looks promising,

Absolutely, I’ve been looking for a battery powered presence detector for a while now for the same reason (PIR motion detectors turn off after a while without movement)

That’s a good idea for a Presence Sensor! Can’t wait!

SUPER EXCITED! Bought the FP1E a couple weeks ago to test it out, and I’m loving it! Can’t wait to upgrade to the FP300!

So many people coincidentally excited at the exact same time. Must be something in the water… or maybe the ‘forum points needed’

Anyway, I too am definitely here solely because I’m brimming with uncontrollable enthusiasm, and not at all because I’m staring at my profile like it’s a Tamagotchi that needs more XP to evolve. :tada:

I’m more excited for a sensor that won’t cost me half a day in trying to integrate into Home Assistant when I can just merge it with the rest of my Aqara hub and kit.

Excellent idea that fills a much needed gap (battery/PIR/mmWave). Can’t wait to see if it lives up to expectations.

I know it work with thread/matter but similarly to the T2 lightbub is there a Zigbee connectivity ?

I am. I currently use a P2 motion sensor but it doesn’t do presence.

Definitely have been waiting for a wireless mmWave sensor from aqara for a while. First place this will go is in my bathroom as I never found a reasonable place to hide the cord for the FP2.

I read it will have both Zigbee and thread connectivity.
