i’m using multiple devices from aqara with homeassistant.

Zigbee:

  • Buttons
  • Vibrationsensors
  • Temperature and Humidity sensors

The newest member of the family is a U200 Lock. The integration in home assistant was mostly without problems thanks to matter. Additionally the lock
Is paired with HomeKit to allow easy unlocking with Apple Devices.

Wishes:

More states for the lock, like

  • Unlock, but do no pull latch
  • Unlock, pull latch (current default) to really open the door
  • learn fingerprint, pin add etc. via matter

I integrated all my IKEA Devices via Matter. I also use some Hue Devices via the Dirigera Hub and they are all exposed to the Aqara System. Works great an I love it.

I love aqara for the value and the support for features you offer. I don’t use matter however as it limits the functionality in HomeKit. I wish the same features were available whether I connect with home kit or matter.

I have several Aqara H2 EU Light Switch with Home Assistant and HomeKit in operation.

They work very well when connected to neutral.

Devices with Home Assistant Matter Hub also work well with the M3 Bridge.

I have an Aqara U50 door lock integrated into Aqara Home, and then shared with HomeKit and Home Assistant. I actually don’t know how the Thread traffic gets to Home Assistant, and don’t care – multi path just works.

End result is I can control the lock with an Apple Watch, or a Lovelace card in HA. Or the Aqara Home App, but TBH, 99% of the time I just open the lock with my watch.

Pairing was easy.

I’m using an Amazon Echo and Alexa to monitor when my mother in law moves around, using the inbuilt motion detection of the Echo to turn on the side lamp off my Aqara Ceiling Lamp T1M for 3 minutes. She’s 350 miles away in a care home and it helps my wife to know when to make phone calls after my MIL returns after mealtimes.

I never got my Nest E or GE matter over WiFi plugs working in Aqara. I assumed it was because I use the M100.

I have 3 GE plugs and 1 Nest E. I also tried a Govee Christmas light matter strand (H70C5)

Living on the edge with 3% battery life @Raman.V

I personal prefer Zigbee or Thread powerd bulbs, but cool to know that wifi also works.

Here is my submission. The process of adding this plug into the Aqara app was extremely easy as evidenced in the video. I am extremely satisfied with the fact that you get power monitoring within the Aqara app as well.

Uhhhh… @Raman.V thats cool because I also implemented all my IKEA Devices via Matter to Aqara. I also run some Hue lights over the Dirigera Hub to Aqara and can control almost all devices over the Aqara panel Hub :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
