I’ve found it not to be the smoothest process. I have a bunch of hue lights and they show up with generic names and not in the correct rooms. It’s such a faff to have to identify and name each one that I’ve just ignored the integration. Also, I find it frustrating that I can’t group non-Aqara lights (for instance, I can’t just control all bathroom down lights as one group). So, overall, not the greatest of integrations.

Creating a group for matter devices also works, even bulbs of different brands connected to aqara home can be regrouped, check it out - it already works.

Kaza switches and AiDot bulbs

Sharing how I automatically save energy and help out my little kids that cannot reach the switches to turn the lights on. I’ve set up a motion sensor and a prescense sensor to work these automations. Groups work in the Aqara app and also for Matter Devices which are not from Aqara as @raman.v said . Try it again. Alternativ u can work with scenes.

As i said, i imported all my IKEA Devices and the namens were importet. Only the namens for the specific Aqara cards had all the same Name (Light). But cards are a Aqara thing so no problem.

Rooms are never importet correctly no matter which ecosystem u Import them from.

Sounds for me Like a hue Matter Problem in generell

No, to connect the matter bridge ( dirigera ikea ) you can use not only m3. M100, G5 Pro, G410 and M3 are suitable for this.

J’ai acheté récemment le M3 pour la norme Matter.
Avant, j’avais le premier Homey qu’ils n’ont pas mis à jour pour la norme matter.

J’ai pu intégré toute mes lampes et capteurs Hue existant, par contre il a fallu les trouver et les renommer ce qui était assez pénible.

J’ai intégré une télécommande Bluetooth pour une petite radio Phillips, ce qui m’a permis de faire une automatisation pour qu’elle s’allume à une heure précise quand je suis de retour de ballade avec mes chiens le matin.

J’ai une caméra G3 qui me filme mon entrée
J’espère que si mon purificateur Dyson est réparable je l’intégrerai également et je ferai une automatisation avec les capteurs de température/humidité qui doivent arriver sous peu.

Et j’utilise une ancienne tablette qui me fait office d’écran de contrôle

J’ai également des capteurs au fenêtre qui me font un push sur mon téléphone si elles restent ouvertes et bien sûr, sur la porte d’entrée ou une automatisation se fait après le coucher du soleil, si la porte s’ouvre, la lumière du hall d’entrée s’allume

L’évolution de la future mise à jour pour les automatisations sera top et n’aura rien à envier à Homey

Sur l’affichage simple de la météo, il faudrait rajouter l’heure, j’aimerai bien ça

I would like to raise a reverse post about how Aqara makes matter integration to other platforms easy, I never had such a easy setup as the U200 lock! Just cant wait for the G4 to be matter compatible!

Easy instructions, great pricepoint and it simply just works!

In the future I might buy a Aqara hub and integrate that to home assistant but so far my to-go for all my non tech friends are Aqara products.

I have integrated a generic Matter UK plug socket from EIGHTREE off Amazon.
They are only £29.99 for 4 which was very reasonable.
They showed up in the Aqara app using the Hub M3.

I have also connected a Matter relay from Sonoff which switched my garden lights on.
This was set to an automation with my door sensors so my garden lights switch on at night time when o let my dog out and they go off again when I close the door.

I also have an Aqara mini switch to manually switch them on and off.
Again it’s been flawless for automation with Aqara.

I have recently installed some new permanent outdoor smart lights from Govee, so I will integrate them into Aqara soon too.

Incredibly easy to set up a MEROSS smart EU plug socket with the Aqara app. I have 2 set up and they work amazing. Along with 2 Aqara cameras and a Govee smart bulb. Incredible system that works seamlessly with Aqara’s amazing customer experience. I use 2 of the Aqara E1 cameras and they are working flawlessly.

My Experience with 3rd party devices, and what I would possibly want to see in the future

So I currently have multiple 3rd party lights integrated into Aqara Home via matter, and love how well it integrates. Im able to flawlessly make automations with these 3rd party devices. I think it be would be nice if the interface for the 3rd party switch matter devices had an interface like the Aqara switch interface, plug interface, or Aqara light interface depending on what you choose. My Aqara + Philips Hue Smart Home Automation Setup

I’ve recently integrated my Aqara ecosystem with Philips Hue lights using Matter, and I’m excited to share how this setup works!

1. Device Details
   Aqara Devices: G4 Video Doorbell, P2 Motion Sensor, and T1 Smart Plug.
   Philips Hue: White and Color Ambiance Light Bulbs (E26) and Hue Lightstrip Plus.
   Type: Lighting and sensors for motion-triggered automation.

2. Aqara Home Integration Proof
   All devices are connected in the Aqara Home App and recognized via Matter.
   Functions available:
   Philips Hue: On/Off, dimming, color change, automations.
   Aqara Sensors: Triggering Hue lights based on motion, door access, and time schedules.
   Screenshots of the device list and control pages show seamless detection across both brands.

3. My Experience
   Pairing Process: Very smooth. Adding Philips Hue to Aqara Home through Matter took under 5 minutes.
   App Control: Stable with low latency. Commands to turn on/off and change colors are nearly instant.
   Automations: I’ve set my hallway Hue lights to turn on when the Aqara motion sensor detects movement at night, and it works perfectly.
   Issues: None so far—Matter integration made the process straightforward.

Overall, this Aqara and Philips Hue integration has made my smart home more cohesive and responsive. I highly recommend exploring Matter if you want to unify multiple brands without extra hubs!
