I’m installing the G410 to replace the faulty G4. In doing that I was puzzled by the selection among At Home, Out of Home, Night and not active when selecting the widget on HomeKit. What are their purpose and how to use them?
Hi. It looks like you’ve found the security system!
All details can be found directly in the Aqara Home App:
Profile > Help & Feedback > Alert System

A similar thread can be found here:
Hope this helps you quickly!
Thanks for the video, it was very interesting. Yet I’m still not clear why I should change those settings, rather than the app set that by geofencing. Also it is quite inconvenient to see that menu each time the Aqara settings is selected.
On the one hand, geofencing may not always work perfectly.
We are currently discussing this topic here:
On the other hand, you want to be able to quickly deactivate the night alarm if, for example, you get up too early and want to fetch the newspaper from outside. Geofencing cannot recognize you at your front door after you get up, which might trigger an alarm with a door contact.
What exactly do you mean? The card in the Aqara app or as a widget in iOS?
Yet I do not see why that menu is shown upfront as if it were a decisive setting to set, when probably it is the geofencing to select if one is at home or not.
What exactly do you mean?
Can you make Screenshot?
That’s just the view of the security system in the Apple Home app when you tap on the security system.
If you don’t need it, just tap and hold it, then remove it from the Home view, and it will be gone.
Or have I misunderstood something? ![]()
Actually that menu seems not to go away, even pushing it. But my question is about its function.
The Aqara Doorbell Camera Hub G410 is several devices in one: camera, doorbell, and hub with alarm system. And several devices are displayed in the “Home” view of the Apple Home app. It should therefore be displayed once as a security system (alarm system) and once as a camera in the “Home” view.
When you tap on the security system, you will see this switch, which you can use to change the alarm system mode:
-
“In casa” means that you are at home and have configured various sensors that trigger an alarm, for example, when a trespasser is detected by a camera.
-
“Fuori casa” means that you are not at home and have configured various sensors that trigger an alarm, for example, motion detectors in the house.
-
“Notte” means night alarm – you are in bed and have configured various sensors that trigger an alarm, but not the sensor on the bedroom window, for example, because you sleep with the window open.
-
“Non attivo” means that no alarm mode is activated (the alarm system is off).
You can only use the Aqara Home app to specify which sensors you want to use in one of the alarm modes, as shown in the video.
If you don’t want the alarm system to appear in the “Home” view, you can remove it from there. Tap and hold the device, then remove it from the Home view. Alternatively, you can do this via Settings (gear icon). And than turn off the “Show on Home Screen” option.
You can display it again via “Home settings.” There, you can also show/hide all devices and change the hub settings or see how many devices are connected via the hub.
My perplexity regarded the fact that detecting if it is night or day, or if I’m at home or outside is respectively found through a clock or geofencing.
