Good Afternoon Everyone, I could Really Use some help here…Automation 2.0…
Im My bedroom I have the Hub M3 linked with my AC unit as my thermostat, an FP300, and the FP 300 is linked to the w100 for Temp and humidity…
Here is the Scenerio…
#1
Turn the AC ON (While Sleeping):
If I’m in the bedroom (presence) for more than 5 Mins, and the W100 reads over 26 degrees c, Then turn on the AC…
#2
Turn the AC OFF (While Sleeping):
If I’m in the bedroom (presence) and the W100 reads under 24 degrees c, Then turn off the AC…
in other words…
How would i write the Automation when im in the room for more than 5 mins, to turn the AC on when the temperature is between 24 - and 26.
and to make it simple, turn off when im out of the room and the temperature is outside the Range above.
when im asleep i want the AC on till it reaches 24c then turn off…as it rises and it hits 26c turn back on until is drops to 24c.
I want the AC OFF when i am not in the room, regardless of what the temperature is.
Ive attached pictures of the automation…any help would be greatly appreciated.
*** side note *** the FP300 anyone experienceing False presence when no one is in the room…i did AI learning, reset the device, reset hubs, bought a new device…set sensitivity etc…
Thank you so much for your time…Have a great day!!!

Believe you would be better off using the FP2 for tha as that’s intended to detect presence for a longer period of time and in a bedroom environment and only use the FP300 for humidity. Or potentially do a soft sensor setup with both FP2 and FP300 to avoid false alerts.
Understood, this is what i have thou…any help would be great

From what you write you only have a FP300 and what I’m suggesting is that is not the most optimal device for the job. You should add and FP2 to the set-up and then make a soft sensor mixing the FP2 and FP300 to minimize the false signals
ahh ok, if i got the FP2 how would i set up the animation in the above mentioned?
Hello, welcome to the forum. I will send you screenshots of automations 2…0 later. Theoretically, this is done without problems. Also, the W100 sensor must be set to the appropriate sensitivity level.
Ok. Thank you waiting for ur SH

So far this kinda works. But turns off even thou there’s presence
Here is the W100 setting. I changed it a bit to see where it was.
Also see the settings for the presence sensor here.

Thank you sir. Are there any aditional settings in the W100 to do also? I will try it right now. Also the FP300 does and is set up that way…and it does detect presence…but sometimes…it gets stuck in presence, or absense forcing me to hit the button and retrain it. thoughts?

You can remove the settings here and get a universal cooling shutdown for all operating cases.

so ur above post…removing the timezone from the Then Statement…How does that fix the FP300 Presence Sensor from staying stuck in Presents, and or absense.

I have these settings, never had a “stuck” in presence or absence. I also recommend experimenting with the location of the FP300 sensor.

No, this is reinsurance against unnecessary overcooling of the room in the event of a “Stuck”.
