Doorbell Camera HUB G410 battery lasts 5 to 6 days

The camera is running out of battery in 5 to 6 days. It is not detecting any movement events during the day, does not save video to the microSD card, it is set to Power save mode, the lingering option is set to 1 meter with an event of 10 minutes, so it needs 10 minutes of something moving to start recording. No sure what else to do. Half of the day is under the shade. WiFi bars are 3 out of 5. Any suggestions are welcome. Im just about to disconnect the thing.

Bear in mind that the battery life depends on the type of batteries you put in the G410. NiMH batteries have a low starting voltage, which is problematic. For example, six cells provide only 7.2 V, whereas alkaline batteries provide 9.0 V.

Doorbell G410 - batteries

Hi all, Hope your week is going well. I am hoping to upgrade to the G400 when available in the UK and power via POE. I currently have the G410, powered by doorbell wiring. I am thinking of reusing the G410 in another area where there is no wire, but can use batteries. I was just wondering are there any particular batteries recommend for the G410 and are rechargeable batteries suitable? Thanks for your help.

Doorbell G410 doesn't detect + batteries drained after few days

Hello, I have very annoying problem with my doorbell G410. Around a month ago it was mounted on the wall, using batteries, everything fine - face detection, people detection, maybe 3/4 times per day activated. Then the batteries were almost dead (after a month), so we exchanged them for brand new Duracell and since then detection doesn’t work at all. If the doorbell still only works for 5-6 days in power-saving mode, I believe there may be hardware issues or other reasons that prevent the doorbell from entering sleep mode. Please confirm if the following conditions exist:

1. Have you connected the doorbell to HomeKit and enabled iCloud storage? If so, are there any devices running the home app (iPhone, iPad, iWatch, Apple TV, etc.) that keep live streaming or updating cover images?

2. When someone approaches the doorbell, do the indicator lights around the doorbell button turn off or remain on in red or other colors?

3. How far is the distance between the doorbell and Chime indoors? What are the obstacles in the middle (doors, walls, etc.)?

In power-saving mode, the theoretical battery life of the doorbell can even reach one year (with only a very small number of ringing events per day and infrequent viewing of doorbell videos), so I believe the problem you are facing is abnormal.
