that was the reason i bought the w600. but I thought, that a good regulation of the temperature is a nobrainer.
maybe i switch to sonoff – hoping that they are also relatively quite.
Iv got 7 of these w600 as well. Wish I never got them. Basically E Waste at this point as they cant even do the basics correctly like holding steady temp or correctly changing temp when told todo so via the smart schedules.
Iv tried in home assistant as well with 2 of them I have in a room but still unable to get better performance out of them even with some more clever automations.

Hi, I understand that this is a very bad situation with the W600.
I use such automation for E1 and W600 works great, maybe it will be useful for you. Automation 2.0, lesson 14, creating automations for controlling groups of rooms using radiator thermostats (E1,W600) and a controlled heating boiler

Honestly this is a joke. Bought these in December and now I am stuck with them and cant use them properly. 200€ down the drain

Open a supportticket. Tell them your situation. Say they are useless and ask for a discount. I got 50% refund for my 7 W600.
Wrote a review on Amazon seeing they did away with the “release version”. I purchased 5 of my 7 through Amazon and the others via Aqara direct so not like I don’t own them with “the latest firmware updates” As I am running the latest beta firmware.
Suggest everyone else do the same.
If they start to actually work as intended I’ll update my review
As a testing and validation engineer in my actual job this product would of never make it pass my green light to be released.
Don’t get me wrong I love many of you products, but this one is an absolute stinker. Feel free to pull me into future testing release of products, as Like I said I do this as a day job with a tech and software company.

yeahh… in the moment I would not buy any new more complicated products from aqara - e.g. the lock. after this experience with the w600 I do not trust them with new products, that are more complex than a simple switch.

Same here.
Im a software tester and this would not pass my testing aswell.
I will also stop buying stuff from aqara since this software is so buggy and we cant even tweak parameters or use basic functions like external temperature input.
If you tell this to them, they always have an excuse.

Hello all,
I have to join the dissatisfied ones. I have 5 of these thermal heads and I use them in HA with Z2M. The regulation of the set temperature does not work. If they gave the option of just on/off without regulation, it would be better. If it was possible, I would return the head because unfortunately the purchase was not worth the money.
So I made a ticket and asked for a refund because my system with a M3, one W100 and two W600 have all known issues. Here is what I got back yesterday.
*"After executing the temperature adjustment command, the W600 thermostat requires a system response period. Equipped with a PI self-learning temperature control algorithm, the device optimizes temperature control accuracy by dynamically calibrating the valve opening. Once the operating conditions stabilize, it will automatically enter the steady-state control phase. Short-term overheating during the transition period is a normal phenomenon.
If you wish to further improve the temperature control effect, consider the following two options:
- Recommended solution: Use the W600 thermostat in combination with the W100 thermostat or a hygrothermograph to effectively enhance temperature control precision.
- Alternative solution: If no additional equipment is available for the time being, you can enable the temperature compensation function by lowering the set temperature by 1–2 degrees Celsius"*
Not a single answer to my refund request, but just some “this is not our fault” la-di-daaa
How about we all go together with a collective demand for a solution within 14 days or we all want our money back.
I was extremally satisfied with W600 but for a last 2 weeks I note that internall sensor shows 2degrees difference to previous results and of course to real result. I placed externall sensor from fibaro which is not connected i any way to W600 or automation created with W600 in HA and Fibaro shows a little higher temperature to previous ones showed by W600 and over 3 degrees higher to current measurments. And for sure Fibaro is close to reality.
We absolutely should let them know how crappy this TRV is currently.
@jc_e67nytfa they told me exactly the same. I still told them that this does not work even after days or weeks of “self adjust”.
They will never apologise. Even they did for me lol.
I received the exact same answer. Aqara is leading us by the nose.
I am so disappointed about Aqara and how they threat us.
