Just posted my Aqara smart home setup. Here’s how it all comes together:
From Sunrise to Sunset – How 30 Aqara Devices Run My Home
It may be simple but it does the work I need it to. I have an H2 switch (2 button, 1 channel) in my office. I have the first button decoupled, so a Philips Hue smart light fixture can be powered all the time and turned on with motion in the morning. The wireless switch is programmed to turn on a light plugged into an Eve energy outlet over my computer with a single press, turn off the light over my desk with a double press & turn off all the lights in the office with a press and hold. simple, but useful and never lose power to my smart light.
Here are my ideas from my smarthome ![]()

I use presence sensors, for my office. When I leave, the lights turn off, after a set time i have left then my monitor’s and other powered items except laptop turn off (During Office Hours).
Then when I return, all turn themselves back on, spring into life, and ready to go!
We have 6 temperature/humidity sensors in the house and see all of them on Alexa Echo Show Hub. One sensor is outside and two are in cellar for monitoring humidity there.
I am only missing the humidity info on Alexa display…
Here is my submission.
Thx for the information ![]()

Yes, I’m ready !!
Awesome! Here’s my post.
For our new house build I did extensive research and tested heaps of switches, hubs etc
I chose two primary platforms to work together. An Aqara M3 hub and Home Assistant.
All door locks are Aqara being a U300 and U100 on each door.
The Aqara ceiling light T1M which I love such a good light.
And Aqara LED strips for kitchen and under bench lighting
The ceiling light status light ring is great for alerts and status in automations
Having this issue with my two conflicting presence sensors in an odd shaped garage would be a great opportunity to test. Two different entries and odd shapes room. Let’s see if I get selected.
Just finished setting up 6 Leake sensors with a valve controller. it’s amazing how simple and seamless everything is to set up and program.

*I recently had water damage in several rooms of my home thanks to my a/c condensation line. There was an alarm put in years ago that failed. This is the second time over about 10 years this has happened. I now have placed Aqara water sensors under the a/c unit directly under the condenser. One in the drip pan and one on the floor next to the pan. Have also placed additional sensors in the bedroom closet directly on the other side of the wall where the wall and flooring were damaged. I have a Home Assistant automation setup that alarms the family via text-to-speech announcement and notifications sent to all of our devices at the first hint of any moisture being detected in those areas. Additionally it turns off the a/c unit to stop any more condensation forming on the coils until the leak is resolved.
Here’s my post. Have a good one!
