Hello, I use T2 dual relay for all lights of my house, triggered by standard Ticino wall buttons. Unfortunately the response time of the relay is very slow (over half a second) and work on the release edge of the button and not on the trailing edge, making the response even slower. On the contrary the response at wireless Aqara button (passing through the hub) is almost instantaneous (I.e the T2 has the capability but the wired trigger software management does not work properly). Did you notice the same experience? Any solution? I need to start a new house, I like Aqara, but slow response is a serious issue
Is your house wired with a neutral cable?
Hello, welcome to the forum. Please show the automation that turns on the lights. Take a screenshot.
Yes, live wire and neutral wire. Wet contact mode. Buttons and not rockers.
It is built to easily convert back all circuits to “non domotic”, simply replacing the relays.
Hello, there is no automation on the wired cables. They work directly.
Ok. Can you also show the created automation like @gafich10 mentioned?
Do you control “dumb” lamps?
Sure. Standard lamps (led strip). The most of the issue come from the wired command working on the falling edge of the wired button. So, if you press the button, till you do not release, the relay does not switch. Once you release it, there is a further “logic” delay. I.e. over half a second of delay.
The wireless switch is almost instantaneous
Did you tried to change to automation 2.0 ?
It is already active. But the issue is not on the automated wireless button that works perfectly. The lag is on the wired button.
Does anyone use the T2 with wired buttons to drive dumb lamps?
Do you face the same delay?
Automation 2.0 is active … but the automation is not changed to it , or? Italian is not my best language ![]()
Hello, here I experimented with the lamp and T2. Rele T2, let's talk about it again - #27 by gafich10
For me, the delay is instantaneous, although the user writes that it is 0.3-0.5 seconds.
It is possible that your problem with the physical switch is related to this setting. (trailing edge delay).
Yes it says: “update to automation 2.0”, so I think it needs to be updated.
I’m not familiar with the process tho since I’m a new user of Aqara products
Hello, welcome to the forum. The 2.0 launch process is described here.
Hope these videos clarify the issue. I deliberately keep the button pressed for long time to show the response to the falling edge (=button release) and not to the trailing edge (=button push). The second video is the same light switched on by a wireless Aqara switch, where it is very clear the reactivity.
Issue is not on the automation, but on the wired button reading and management.
